Welcome

Hello. In case you're just joining us, my husband and I just got married May 1st of this year, and are now living newly wed life in Los Angeles. We're both originally from Kansas City, but he took a job out here before we got engaged, and so goes life. I've moved many time before, and am no stranger to change, but, for some reason, change itself never seems to get any easier. In short, I miss the smell of fall in the air, I miss the Oak Park Mall, I miss blueberry pancakes on Saturday's at First Watch, and I miss my sisters most of all. There is one sister in particular whom I have quite an affinity for. I told her just last night that the reason we get along so well is merely due to taste and preference. For example, we both have extreme personalities. When we like things, we love them - and you'll know it. If we dislike things, we hate them - and you'll know that too. She's the reason I write this post now. She may very well be the only one who ever reads this, but to me, that's okay. There are many more stories to share; ones including other sisters and their quirky behaviors, a dad and his classically outdated metaphors, my husband and his sense of humor, and many other tales that will inevitably emerge from within this city of angels.
